Support Kaʻū News

Kaʻū News is a volunteer-run non-profit community newspaper dedicated to keeping our district connected, informed, and empowered. From local environmental updates and regional infrastructure to cultural moʻolelo and community voices, we provide independent journalism rooted directly in our ʻāina.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our readers, neighbors, and supporters to keep our publication running, print our bi-monthly editions, and maintain free access to local news for everyone across Pāhala, Nāʻālehu, Ocean View, and the wider Kaʻū district.

Your contribution directly supports:

  • Printing and distributing our community newspaper editions across the district

  • Sustaining our digital web archive and independent reporting infrastructure

  • Amplifying local community voices, candidate outreach, and regional accountability reporting
